Have you always dreamed of a picture-perfect ski holiday – with twinkling fairy lights, snow-dusted trees, and cozy chalets straight out of a snow globe? Sounds like something out of a winter fairytale, right? Well, guess what – Livigno makes those winter dreams a reality.
What Livigno is really like
From jolly Santa statues to spontaneous snowball fights, this alpine town is full of charm and magic. The adventure begins the moment your bus winds its way down the steep mountain road, after a scenic 4-hour journey that simply flies by as your excitement builds.
Livigno greets you with a flurry of activity: bustling ski shops, friendly tourists and plenty of snowy excitement. Our team will be waiting at the bus stop to welcome you and get you settled into your home-away-from-home for the week. Once you’ve unpacked and shaken off the travel legs, it’s time for your ski fitting – the first real taste of what’s to come. With boots, skis and helmets all fitted, you’re free to explore the town as the evening rolls around (tip: swing by Roxy Bar for a pizza that hits just right after a long day of travel).
Your first day on the slopes
An early night is a smart move – your first day on the slopes awaits! After breakfast at your accommodation (the heartier, the better – skiing is hungry work!), grab a snack or two for your pockets and head out into the snowy wonderland.
If you’ve booked lessons, expect them to run from 09:00 to 11:00 – just enough time to learn the ropes before hitting the slopes on your own. The rest of the day is yours to explore Livigno’s wide, gentle runs and soak in those breathtaking views. When hunger strikes, don’t worry – there are mountain restaurants perfectly placed for a cheesy bite or a hot chocolate, all with a view you’ll never forget.
Ending with a bang
The ski lifts usually close around 16:30 – your legs will be feeling the burn.!That’s your cue for après-ski. Whether it’s a chilled beer, a toasty cocktail, or some toe-tapping tunes, Livigno’s après scene is full of good vibes. And when dinner rolls around, it’s all about rich flavours and local favourites – we recommend starting with a meat and cheese platter before digging into hearty bowls of pizzoccheri (a regional must-try!). We’ve rounded up our top dining picks here, so be sure to check it out.
After dinner, the night is yours: turn in early to rest up or join the locals for a bit of dancing and laughter – both are equally part of the Livigno experience.
No matter how you end your evening, one thing’s for sure – you’ll fall asleep with a full heart, tired legs, and the giddy knowledge that tomorrow, you get to do it all over again.
