Helmets Now Mandatory for All Skiers and Snowboarders in Italy

From December 2025, Italian ski resorts are taking safety to the next level: helmets are now compulsory for everyone on the slopes, no matter your age or experience.

What you need to know:

• All ski and snowboard hire packages include helmets — no extra cost, no fuss.

• Guests may also bring their own helmets.

• Sunglasses are allowed, but ski goggles are recommended for full protection and comfort.
