The ski bus stop is just one minutes walk, with a ski lift (number 20) and ski rental shop just five minutes walk away. It’s possible for skiers of intermediate standard to ski back to within 100 m of Chalet Picchio.
These modern spacious four star apartments are just 150 metres from the resort centre, A choice of 1-, 2- or 3-bedrooms all finished to a modern standard and come with a fully equipped kitchenette and satellite TV. The three bedroom apartment also has two bathrooms.

Livigno – what an adventure. The Chalet Picchio a sweet home. Skiing…. Fun for some crazy for others, some not to try again! All the staff helpful from the check-in to the instructors…. Remo and Matteus fabulous with the kids.

We had a great time! I’ve not ski’d in such warm weather before. We usually go much earlier in the season so -15 degrees is not unusual.
It was also our first time to Italy – I thought Livigno was very special. Easy to get around (sorted the buses out in our first 10mins there!), easy access to the slopes, loved that the buses are free and so frequent, the trip via Zurich was very easy as well and very pleasant indeed – lovely train trip through the mountain with spectacular views. On our return we also took in a half day City Highlights tour of Zurich which was great fun.
The chalet was perfect for us so we could do a combo of nights in/out as the mood took us. It all worked!
I asked Trenowyn if he’d be happy to go skiing there again and his response was a resounding ‘yes’.
